On February 13, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Indian domestic enterprise Borosil Renewables Limited, coated or uncoated textured tempered glass (Textured Tempered Coated) originating or imported from China and Vietnam and Uncoated Glass) initiated an anti-dumping investigation. The products involved are tempered glass with a transmittance of at least 90.5%, a thickness of 4.2 mm or less (including a tolerance of 0.2 mm) and at least one side greater than 1500 mm, regardless of whether it is coated or not. This product is also known as solar glass, low iron solar glass, solar glass low iron, solar photovoltaic glass, high transmission photovoltaic glass, tempered low iron embossed solar glass, etc. in the market. Textured tempered glass is used as a component in solar photovoltaic panels and solar thermal applications. Transmission grade is achieved by keeping iron content low (usually below 200 ppm). When coated with anti-reflective coating liquid, the transmission level can be increased by about 2% to 3%. The dumping investigation period in this case is from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 (12 months), and the damage investigation period is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and April 1, 2021 to 2022 March 31, 2022, April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, and January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
