Recently, China National Building Material Engineering (Macau) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China State Construction Macau" or "Company") invested in the construction of the exterior wall material of the Macau M8 project - curved hot-melt composite stone glass, with a price of 20.45 square meters. The single full area created the Guinness World Record for "the largest curved surface hot-melt composite stone glass".
Curved surface hot-melt composite stone glass (also known as curved surface light-transmitting marble glass) is made by laminating natural stone flakes and tempered curved glass with high temperature and high pressure. This kind of composite glass has both the texture of natural stone and the clarity of glass, and is known as the "black technology" in the glass industry.
In the Macau M8 project, CSCEC Macau, Wuxi Chengyi and Far East Curtain Wall cooperated to produce the world's largest curved hot-melt composite stone glass after about 1,000 days of design and development. The material has three characteristics: one is ultra-thin, the thickness of natural stone is only about 1 mm; the other is curved surface, which needs to be laminated with stone flakes and curved glass; the third is a super large panel, the whole stone glass is intact instead of a splicing piece.
When the Guinness World Records official certification officer presented the award, he said that the challenge of the Guinness World Record for "the largest curved hot-melt composite stone glass" is an extreme challenge in technology and manufacturing. China National Building Material International created the Guinness World Record with its "glass black technology", which fully demonstrated the enterprise spirit of taking scientific and technological innovation as the strategic guidance, continuously surpassing and boldly innovating.
The M8 project is located in one of the core business districts of Macau - the "Ruins of St. Paul's - Senado Square" business district, with a total construction area of about 80,000 square feet. It is a 9-story commercial building.
The project was designed by Hong Kong Oval Consulting Co., Ltd., following the urban texture, adopting the design techniques of combining Chinese and Western, combining old and new, curved surface gradient, and new performance of old objects. The exterior wall effect of integration and one step at a time is committed to becoming a cultural and commercial landmark in Macau, and exploring a new model for Macau's urban renewal. At present, the structure of the project has been capped, and the follow-up construction and commercial operation are continuing to be promoted.
