Definition
Borosilicate glass is obtained by replacing part of alkali metal oxide in ordinary glass with boron oxide. That is, high boron low silicon borosilicate glass without alkali metal oxide. Characteristic
High borosilicate glass has a very low thermal expansion coefficient, only about one-third of ordinary glass.
