MSC has decided to cancel the demurrage fee from March 28 to April 15. The specific new reduction and exemption measures are as follows:
During the period from March 28th to April 15th, from the pick-up date to the standard departure (Shanghai) date, the demurrage fee incurred beyond the 7-day free container period will be reduced or exempted.
If the owner cancels the shipment of the goods, the demurrage fee incurred after the 7-day free period from the pick-up date to the return date from March 28 to April 15 will be reduced or exempted.
Previously, on April 21, MSC issued an announcement saying that adhering to the principle of customer first, through multi-departmental collaboration and actively coordinating the resources of all parties, MSC launched several measures to help customers cope with the current temporary difficulties and support the orderly progress of foreign trade business.
From March 28 to April 15, for Diamond Tier (-DT) cargo shipped from Shanghai, if the customer cancels the booking, we will waive the booking cancellation fee.
From March 28th, if customers require Shanghai export bills of lading to be issued in all MSC Greater China branches outside Shanghai, they can also choose to pay in Ningbo, and MSC will not charge additional fees*.
