What is Standard Laminated Glass 

Standard Laminated Glass, also widely known as annealed laminated glass or non-tempered float laminated glass, is a basic safety glazing product composed of two or multiple layers of original float glass bonded firmly with PVB interlayer. Different from tempered safety glass series, this type of laminated glass adopts ordinary annealed float glass as the base material without any high-temperature tempering treatment, retaining the original flat optical performance and excellent reprocessing ability of float glass.

Through professional high-pressure lamination technology, the PVB film permanently combines the glass layers into an integral structure. Once broken, the interlayer can effectively hold all glass fragments in place, preventing splashing injuries and achieving basic safety standards for interior architectural decoration.

No. Standard laminated glass is non-tempered annealed float glass. Only tempered laminated glass undergoes high-temperature tempering treatment. Standard laminated glass retains original soft glass characteristics and reprocessing performance.

Yes. It is one of the biggest advantages of standard laminated glass. Non-tempered laminated glass can be cut, drilled, polished and bent after production, while tempered laminated glass cannot be reprocessed.
