●Reflective Glass, aka Solar Control Coating Glass, is glass that has been treated with a metallic coating on the float glass surface to make it reflective to short wave radiation from the sun, and long wave radiation from heat inside or outside the building.
●Online Coating Reflective Glass is produced in a pyrolytic coating process, which involves heating glass to high temperatures in a chemical vapor, so the coating material condenses onto its surface. Pyrolytic coating is achieved online at high temperature during float manufacturing process, aka hard coatings.
●Hard-coated glass is slightly less effective at reflecting heat though much more robust, so it can be used in single-pane windows.
