  • UK:Player count jumped from 15,000 to over 400,000 in a few years.Court count rose from 50 to nearly 900.Over 8 million UK adults want to try padel: huge market potential.
  • Italy:Jan-Sept 2023: padel facilities up 16%, courts up 20% (total 8,520).Europe's 2nd-largest market for padel courts and players.
  • France:Annual growth rate over 40%.Now has more than 2,000 padel courts.

Choosing the Right Glass for Padel Courts

The glass used for a padel court's surrounding nets is key. There are two common types, and customers should choose based on the environment:

  •  Tempered Glass

Has a 3C certification mark.

Low self-explosion rate; breaks into small blunt particles (safe).

Strength is 3-5 times that of ordinary glass.

Withstands 300°C temperature differences (resistant to cold/heat).

Strong weather resistance (hard to damage outdoors long-term).

Best for: Areas with changeable weather and big temperature differences (e.g., high-altitude areas, places with obvious day-night temperature changes).

  •  Laminated Glass

Made by sealing 2+ layers of tempered glass; hollow layer often filled with inert gas (e.g., argon).

Much better sound insulation than ordinary glass.

Triple-glazed laminated glass (2 hollow layers) has even better sound insulation.

Best for:

Noisy areas (e.g., near schools, food stalls, squares).

Areas with extremely loud noise (e.g., busy roads, construction sites).

Detailed Case Study of a German Customer

A customer from Germany planned to build a padel court and asked us for a quotation for the whole set of padel court facilities.

We acted quickly. We provided a detailed quotation according to the customer's needs. It included all costs, such as materials for the court floor, glass for the surrounding nets, the net, and lighting equipment.

Considering Germany's climate, some areas are cold in winter and mild in summer. The day-night temperature difference is not very big, but there is relatively more rainfall. We suggested the customer give priority to laminated glass for the court's surrounding nets. This could reduce the impact of noise from the surrounding environment on the game. At the same time, laminated glass can also resist wind and rain to a certain extent. For the court floor, we recommended using artificial turf with a concrete base. This combination is durable and provides a good sports experience.

In terms of installation guidance, we provided the customer with a detailed installation manual. It covered every step, starting from leveling the site. It explained how to install the concrete base, lay the artificial turf, and even included details like the installation angle of the surrounding glass and the hanging height of the net.

During the installation process, the customer contacted us whenever they had problems. Our technical team gave real-time guidance through video calls to solve the issues.

Finally, the customer successfully completed the construction of the padel court. After it was put into use, it attracted many local residents to experience padel. The operation went well, and the customer was very satisfied with our services and products.
