Glass without edgework
When your order the raw glass sheet for your mirrors, tabletops, shelves, glass showers and etc. You can specify the type of edge work you like to use to the glass so that we will not be hurt with the charge edge of the raw glass. Here are some edges and corners, and we would like to share you with their differences and usage:
- Grinding VS Polished Edgework
GRINDING also referred to the raw grinding edge, edgework with a semi-satin finish. Its surface is not luster and looks whiter than the polished edge. This type of glass edging is mainly employed to ensure the finished glass is secured for handling. It is the most practical edge but it is only suggested if the edges will be completely covered.
POLISHED edge is similar to grinding but it is with additional processing with luster to the ground finish. It looks very shiny and offers a refined glossy finish. It is efficient and is the perfect way to demonstrate the thickness of the glass.
EDGE TYPES: flat edge, pencil edge, bevel edge, double edge, triple edge, OG edge, triple OG edge etc.
-Seamed edge： also named standard sanded edge, no remaining sharp edge that does not hurt people. A seamed edge can often have small defects along the edge, which does not affect safety but it is not a smooth cosmetically finished edge. Seamed edges are normally the cheapest option. So, if you are looking for a safe and cheap option, the seamed edges are the most helpful.

-Flat polished edge: edge work with a smooth shiny finish which is highly visible. Polish the edges give the glass a nice sheen finish, is used for a complete, finished look suitable for display purposes. Arisen bevels can be ground or polished.

-Pencil Polish Edge(C-shape edge)： the side edge is rounded with a soft look (shiny finish), this rounded edge gets its name simply because of its pencil-like shape. The glossy finish is best for the furniture pieces and the edge allows the glass to fit adequately in the furniture.

-Beveled Polish Edge(cut and swipe edge) the edge of the glass is cut polished at an angle to produce a look, and it involves removing sharp edges with a sanding belt. This process will result in the edge of the glass will be thinner and the center of the glass being thicker. The bevel side of the range from 1’’ to 1-3/4’’
