Water Pattern Glass, also known as water pattern embossed glass, belongs to decorative glass. It is a type of flat glass manufactured by rolling method. Before the glass hardens, a roller engraved with patterns is used to press water patterns on the glass, thereby forming a water pattern embossed effect on the glass.

 

Its manufacturing process is as follows: sodium calcium silicate flat glass is fed into a tunnel heating device by a dense roller conveyor with a center distance of 15-40mm, and uniformly heated to 700 ℃ -800 ℃. Use a corrugated roller with a surface roughness of 0.2-0.5mm to press heated flat glass, and adjust the spacing between the rollers according to the thickness of the glass. Slowly cool the pressed glass from 800 ℃ -700 ℃ to approximately 520 ℃ -480 ℃ within 1 to 4 minutes. Finally, gradually cool the annealed glass and adjust it to room temperature.

 

Performance characteristics:

a. Weak strength, high hardness
Belongs to brittle materials with strong compressive strength. But it is harder than ordinary metals, so when choosing abrasives, grinding tools, and other processing methods, it is necessary to choose according to the hardness of the glass.
b. Optical characteristics and electrical properties
As a highly transparent substance, it allows infrared rays to pass through easily, while most ultraviolet rays cannot pass through. Water patterned glass at room temperature is a poor conductor of electricity, but as the temperature increases, its conductivity rapidly improves and it can become a good conductor when in a molten state.
c. Stable chemical properties
Its chemical properties are relatively stable, and in terms of environmental resistance, it has high acid corrosion resistance but poor alkali corrosion resistance.
