    Market demand analysis

With the popularity of padel courts and the increase in venue construction, the market demand for tempered glass continues to rise. Especially in high-intensity use scenarios, tempered glass has gradually become the preferred material for designers and architects because of its safety and aesthetics.

    • Construction industry

In newly built or renovated cricket courts, 10mm and 12mm tempered glass is often used for guardrails and glass curtain walls in the audience area. This not only improves the safety of the venue, but also enhances the overall aesthetics.

    • Landscape design

Many modern venues focus on ornamental properties in their design. Tempered glass is widely used in landscape design because of its transparency and light transmittance, providing audiences with a better viewing experience.

    Production process of tempered glass

    •  Raw material preparation

The main raw material of tempered glass is float glass. First, manufacturers need to select high-quality float glass to ensure that it has good transparency and uniform thickness. The thickness requirements of 10mm and 12mm correspond to different production line configurations.

    • Cutting

In the glass processing plant, the raw materials are cut into the required size by a cutting machine. During the cutting process, workers will carefully measure to ensure that the size of each piece of glass meets the design requirements.

    • Fine grinding and cleaning

The edges of the cut glass need to be fine-ground to eliminate sharp corners and prevent injuries during use. Then, the surface of the glass needs to be thoroughly cleaned to remove glass chips and dirt generated during the cutting process to ensure the effect of subsequent tempering treatment.

    • Tempering treatment

The cleaned glass is placed in a tempering furnace, heated to a high temperature of about 600℃, and then quickly cooled. This process is called "quenching", which can produce uniform compressive stress inside the glass and improve its strength. The heating and cooling times of 10mm and 12mm thick glass in this process are slightly different to ensure that each achieves the best tempering effect.

    • Testing

Tempered glass needs to undergo strict quality testing after production. The inspection contents include: thickness measurement, appearance inspection, strength test, etc. Ensure that each piece of glass meets national standards and industry specifications.

    Packaging and packing

In order to ensure that tempered glass is not damaged during transportation, the packaging and packing process is crucial.

    • Protection measures

Each piece of tempered glass will be affixed with a protective film before packaging to prevent scratches. Use foam material or cartons to wrap the edges and corners of the glass to increase protection.

    • Packing method

According to different modes of transportation (sea, air, land transportation), choose the appropriate packing method. Wooden boxes are usually used for loading to ensure stability during transportation and avoid collisions. The quantity, weight and precautions of the contents will be marked on each box.

    • Logistics distribution

During the logistics distribution process, professional transportation companies will choose appropriate transportation tools according to the nature of the goods to ensure that the tempered glass arrives at the destination intact.

    Padel court packing

Migo has 2 packing methods, one is 9 glass pieces in a crate, and the other is 18 glass panels in a crate.

    For 10mm glass

if 9pcs/crate (weight 1344kg/crate), one 20ft container can load 144 pcs, that is for the construction of 8 padel courts; if 18pcs/crate (weight 2689kg/crate), one 20ft container can load 162 glass pieces, for the construction of 9 padel courts.

    For 12mm glass

if 9pcs/crate(weight 1613kg/crate), one 20ft container can load 126 pcs, that is for the construction of 7 padel courts; if 18pcs/crate(weight 3227kg/crate), one 20ft container can load 144 glass pieces, for the construction of 8 padel courts.
