Recently, Hapag-Lloyd's official website announced that from September 1, 2023, all containerized cargo from East Asia to North America will be subject to Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) until further notice.
Specific notification and charging standards:
Port of departure: Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines
Destination port: USA and Canada
Charge standard: 20-foot container: USD 480, 40-foot and tall container: USD 600.
