This year there will be 11 tenders for solar projects,the larger of which is the Alfaisalia project,with a capacity of 600 megawatts.REPDO plans to bid for four more projects with 300 megawatts of capacity, Rabigh,Jeddah,Alras and Saad.
The 2019 tender plan also includes six projects:Qurrayat,with a capacity of 200 megawatts,another wi -th the same name but 40 megawatts,Wadi Adwawser (70 megawatts),Madinah (50 megawatts),Rafha (45 megawatts),Mahad Dahab (20 megawatts).
The new tender plan for 2019 is designed to include three bids that failed last year.Details of the 3 GW solar project will be announced after new targets for solar and renewable energy are set.

Under the new Saudi renewable energy strategy,the solar target for 2023 has been reduced from 5 perc -ent.The target for renewable energy was raised from 9 gw to 20 gw.5 gw raised to 27.3 gw.By 2030, RED -PO has also set a target of 40 gigawatts for solar and 58 gigawatts for renewable energy.Target of 7 gw. With its first solar and wind tenders completed last year, REPDO allocated 700 megawatts of renewable engy capacity,including 400 megawatts for wind and 300 megawatts for solar,which includes the energy Sakaka photovoltaic project.The project received an award from Saudi energy company ACWA in Febru --uary,and three awards from French financial services provider Natixis.$200 million in financing.
