Since 2015, the International Code Council (ICC) has required that all glass used in glass railings be laminated, heat-strengthened or tempered glass.
Glass guardrails offer strength and safety while doing little to obstruct views of our beautiful corner of the world. MIGO offers several glass guardrail styles—in custom and component systems for both interior and exterior applications. We use tempered and tempered-laminated glass in our products, all custom-cut per project, ensuring proper fit, uniform appearance and safety. As an added measure of safety, all exposed edges are flat polished and sharp corners are dressed to make them smooth to the touch. This added step improves the appearance of the glass as well.
Corners, transitions to stairs, and guardrail runs longer than 18-feet make it necessary to make field splices. Our top rail field splices are flush, producing a tight and discrete seam, because they utilize an inside sleeve at the joint, as opposed to the bulky over-sleeve components many other systems use. The result is a sleek, continuous top rail.
