What Is Curved Laminated Glass?
Curved Laminated Architectural Glass, also known as heat bent laminated safety glass, is a custom curved composite safety glazing. It integrates two core technologies: thermal hot bending forming and PVB/SGP high-pressure lamination.
Unlike flat laminated glass, the base float glass is heated and bent into smooth curved radian first, then bonded with multi-layer glass and interlayer film to form an integral curved safety panel.

CNC Precision Cutting

Edge Grinding & Polishing

Thermal Glass Bending

Full Tempering Treatment (Optional)
After bending, curved glass can go through tempering quenching process to boost mechanical impact resistance for exterior structural projects. Annealed curved glass is available for interior decoration demand.
PVB/SGP Laminating & Pre-press
Two or multiple curved glass panels are matched with selected interlayer film, roller pre-press removes air bubbles between layers to avoid delamination defects.
Autoclave High-Pressure Inspection
Laminated curved glass enters autoclave under high temperature & pressure for permanent bonding. Final full inspection checks radian consistency, bubble-free rate, flatness and safety performance before delivery.

A1: No. Curved forming must be finished before laminating. Once glass is cut & laminated, secondary hot bending is impossible, all curved shaping work is completed at the raw glass sheet stage.
Q2: Is curved laminated glass tempered glass?
A2: Two options available: Tempered curved laminated glass for exterior structural, high wind load projects; Annealed heat bent laminated glass for interior decorative, low-load display projects without tempering procedure.
Q3: What is the minimum production radius for curved laminated architectural glass?
A3: Our standard minimum radius is R500mm (suitable for 4–12mm base glass). For thinner glass below 4mm, larger radius over R1000mm is required to avoid bending cracking defects.
Q4: Can curved laminated glass be made into insulated double glazing?
A4: Yes. We can process curved laminated insulated glass units (IGU), matching aluminum spacer and desiccant for thermal insulation exterior curtain wall demand.
