Heat-strengthened glass is a type of glass that is stronger than regular annealed glass but not as strong as tempered glass. It goes through a heating and cooling process which strengthens the glass and improves its thermal shock resistance.
Therefore, it may be used as a canopy glass to provide better resistance against wind, thermal stress, and impact compared to regular annealed glass.
Instead of the tempered laminated glass, when the glass is broken, the tempered glass will break into small pieces and easy be fall down from the film, however, the heat-strengthened will be broken into big pieces which is not easy to fall down from the film.
Heat-strengthened glass is stronger than float glass, and it is safer for glass top uses.
