The original glass sheet is defined relative to the deep processing of glass. The original glass sheet usually refers to the fixed size glass produced by the glass manufacturer.
The size of the original glass is usually more than some conventional data in the British system, such as 12 feet (3660mm), 11 feet (3300mm), 8 feet (2440mm), 7 feet (2134mm), 6 feet (1830mm) and so on. The size of glass required by customers is ever-changing, and glass factories cannot satisfy them all. The purpose of this is to facilitate mass production, packing and transportation.
End users have various requirements for glass sizes. The original glass cannot be used directly, and cutting and some subsequent deep processing are required. Relative to the glass after further processing, this kind of glass from the glass factory is called the original plate or original sheet.
