Gym mirror is different from regular mirrors we have in our homes.
When choosing a gym mirror, we should consider two main aspects: safety and clarity.
- Safety
Gym is a public place surrounded by heavy-weight machines and fitness equipment. So gym wall mirrors have to be impact-resistant and shatterproof to protect people from injury.
At MigoGlass, we supply two kinds of shatterproof mirrors widely used in gyms.
One is vinyl backed safety mirror, the other is laminated safety mirror.
Vinyl backed safety mirror is produced by attaching an adhesive glossy PE film (vinyl film) or Woven Fabric films on the back of mirrors, the former with smooth film is called the CAT -I MIRROR, the latter with woven film is called CAT-II MIRROR. The film makes mirror sheets stay together instead of shattering into large, dangerous shards, which prevents people from being hurt in case of mirror breaking.

Laminated safety mirror consists of one layer low iron glass, pvb film and one layer HD silver mirror. Its mechanical strength is up to 2x stronger than regular monolithic mirror. In case of breakage, the interlayer pvb film will stick the fragments together, avoid jagged shards and shattering everywhere.

- Clarity
Mirror used in gym requires a higher clarity than regular home mirrors, at Migo Glass, we provide ultra clear copper-free silver mirrors, which look more shiny and posh as compared to ordinary mirrors.
