Global all-glass underwater restaurant
On the island of Ranlifinolhu in Conrad, Maldives, there is a place to watch the underwater world without diving. This is the world's first all-glass underwater restaurant “Ithaa”. The restaurant is located 6 meters below sea level, 9 meters long and 5 meters wide. It can accommodate 14 people at the same time. The outer layer is a transparent acrylic plexiglass roof. The curved roof can enjoy 270 degree sea bottom scenery.

It is said that the Hilton Group's original idea was to build a submarine restaurant into a straight wall and glass window style, and later adopted the design pattern of propylene plexiglass channel. This channel was designed by the design firm for the National Science Centre in Kuala Lumpur and is one of the larger aquarium channels in the world.

Dine in the underwater garden made up of coral reefs, you can see a group of colorful fish swimming through the sky, and the visual enjoyment is no less than the taste buds. Interestingly, perhaps considering the feeling of fish, the restaurant does not provide fish food.

This idea was also applied to the Spa by Conrad Resort Island. There is a spa on each of Ranlifinolhu Island and Rangali Island, while the spa massage room on Rangali Island has an ingeniously built elevated house on the lagoon, which interacts with the colorful tropical fish in the water through the glass floor. The Thai massage room and The jacuzzi is directly in contact with the vast ocean vision.
The Maldives, called Ithaa, means "pearl" in the local language. The restaurant is located 5 meters below the warm Indian Ocean. The walls are made entirely of glass. In the restaurant you can see the colorful corals and reefs, and various marine life shuttles between the coral reefs. Eating in such a submarine world is a different kind of enjoyment, but the price is not cheap, and a cheaper lunch (excluding various tips) costs $200.
