A central tradition is enjoying mooncakes, a round pastry symbolizing reunion and completeness. Families gather under the full moon to share stories, and in ancient times, people offered sacrifices to the moon in gratitude for blessings. Lanterns are also an important symbol of the festival, representing hope and prosperity for the future.
