The Australian All-Pro Grand Prix will not be held in 2020. The cancellation of the Melbourne event was announced today, despite optimism that the event would continue, but organizers described it as the "best option."

The event was scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from October 21 to 22.

Global solar industry activities have to face tough decisions about whether to reschedule, cancel, or continue trade shows and conferences in 2020. Although the Shanghai SNEC event will start tomorrow, it has been postponed until the scheduled April date, while others have completely canceled all face-to-face events, such as Intersolar Europe. There are large solar exhibitions in the United States, the International Solar Show, planned for outdoor venues in Las Vegas, although some in the industry believe that even that could be impossible.

The Clean Energy Council of Reed Expo and All-Powerful Australia said the "recent escalation" in the Covid-19 case in Australia had dashed earlier hopes.

"While we are disappointed that we were not able to meet face-to-face in Melbourne in October, we remain committed to maintaining the renewable energy industry, our customers, partners and participants in the coming months."

Until this year's cancellation, All-Energy Australia had been experiencing rapid growth. In 2019, the event attracted more than 10,000 participants, up 20 percent from the previous year. There are 290 exhibitions.

Although the second wave of Covid-19 infection has raised doubts about whether it can continue treatment, the incident has long raised strong expectations. It is already clear that international and many interstate visitors will not be able to participate.
