"Jacket" of Photovoltaic Module Panel--Photovoltaic Glass
Photovoltaic glass is the "jacket" of the photovoltaic module panel-sunlight shines on the photovoltaic module panel and is converted into electrical energy through the photoelectric effect. It is the thin photovoltaic glass that covers the module panel. Among them, the ultra-white embossed glass produced by the calendering method is generally used for crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules, and the ultra-white float glass produced by the float method is generally used for thin-film photovoltaic modules. As photovoltaic power generation currently takes the crystalline silicon route as the absolute mainstream, the ultra-white patterned glass matched with it is also the mainstream product of photovoltaic glass.
Since the third quarter of this year, photovoltaic glass has become the segment with the most urgent supply and the largest price increase in the entire industry chain. The price has doubled in just four months. The current industry mainstream 3.2mm photovoltaic glass price is between 43-47 RMB per square meter, which has reached a historical high!
The production process of photovoltaic glass is mainly divided into two major links: original sheet production and deep processing. The original sheet production is the untreated semi-finished photovoltaic original sheet obtained after the raw materials are mixed, melted, calendered, annealed and cut. Further processing.
1) The production of the original film includes five processes: batching section, melting section, forming section, annealing section and edge detection section. Among them, melting, forming and annealing are the core links of the original film production line. Any problem in any link will affect Product quality and production rate. The continuity of glass production is very strong, and the finished products of photovoltaic glass that are of poor quality need to be returned to the furnace for remanufacturing, which will bring additional costs to the production enterprise. The normal production of the original product is continuous work for 24 hours, and production cannot be stopped. Instability will cause production to fail.
2) The deep processing process of photovoltaic glass includes two processes of tempering and coating. The original sheet is edged and then tempered to obtain a tempered sheet, or tempering + coating is performed to obtain a coated sheet for module packaging. Among them, tempering aims to increase the strength of the glass, while the coating is to plate an anti-reflection film on the tempered glass to enhance the light transmittance. Both the tempering and coating processes require high-temperature treatment at around 700°C. Therefore, in order to control costs, glass deep-processing companies often use glass tempering and film heat treatment at the same time.
