Easily overlooked aspects of building a padel court

Why can't glass connectors be ignored?

When building a padel court, many people focus on glass, artificial grass and steel structures. But in fact, some seemingly inconspicuous small accessories, such as glass connectors, are also very critical. If these connectors are not selected properly or installed properly, it will lead to safety hazards in the later stage and even damage the entire glass.

The glass of the padel court is generally 10mm or 12mm tempered glass. Although it is strong, it still requires a reasonable connection method and buffer protection, otherwise it is easy to be damaged by external force, weather or ball impact.

Common glass connectors include:

✅ Stainless steel screws: used to fix glass, requiring rust resistance and anti-slip wire.

✅ Rubber gaskets / acrylic gaskets: installed between glass and metal structure, used to buffer vibration, reduce direct friction, and prevent glass from shattering due to uneven force.

✅ Beads/brackets: help the glass to be firmly positioned to prevent the glass from moving or shaking.

When building, many customers only pay attention to the thickness of the glass and whether the steel structure is stable, but ignore the quality of the connectors and the installation method. In this way, there will be no problems in the short term, but as the use time increases, the connection parts will gradually loosen or stress concentration will occur, which will easily cause the glass to break or even fall off.

Customer Case: Why is the glass of the cricket court damaged?

we received a consultation from a customer who built a cricket court in Europe, using the padel court structure and glass. Everything was normal at first, but after a few months, some of the glass cracked and some even broke, which made him very confused.

After understanding the situation on site, we found that:

  •  Ordinary screws were used during installation without anti-rust treatment, causing the screws to rust and loosen;
  •  No rubber gasket was used, the glass was in direct contact with the metal structure, and the force was uneven under repeated vibration;
  •  The installation angle was unreasonable, causing the glass to be locally compressed for a long time.

After analysis, we suggested that the customer replace the matching anti-rust screws + buffer gaskets + standard brackets, and re-calibrate the installation angle. The customer's subsequent feedback showed that the problem was solved and the glass was stable and no longer cracked.

Padel Court Glass Supplier

No matter how good the glass of the padel court is, it needs the correct installation method and reliable connectors to support it. Stainless steel screws, shock-proof gaskets, and precise fixing methods, these seemingly small details determine whether the glass can be used safely for a long time.

Migo Glass reminds customers: When purchasing glass, don't forget to ask about the matching connectors and installation suggestions. We not only provide high-quality glass, but also a complete set of accessories and installation instructions to make your court safer, more worry-free, and more durable.
